Cutting-edge discrimination technology enables personal items such as belts, coins, keys, jewelry, watches, and wallets to be ignored, facilitating rapid transit flow. There is no need for the removal of such items.

New certified IP66 control unit

The control unit is certified IP66, with a new integrated design that is fully compatible with previous IP20 (plastic) and IP65 (stainless steel) control units. The unit has a robust structure made of high-performance polymers, making it resistant to water, dust, and corrosion from atmospheric agents. The display is made with a specific polymer to improve the visibility of the LEDs, increasing their definition.

Unique Alarm Signaling

The SMD®600 Plus has a distinctive alarm signaling system that includes dual-sided 20 x 2 localization zones, allowing for high visibility of the control unit and zone indication regardless of the operator’s position or installation environment. The flexible acoustic alarm system features 10 continuous and pulsed tones, 34 special sounds, and 10 alarm volume levels. The device also has a highly precise transit counter.

Powerful Security Features

The SMD®600 Plus is highly versatile, with up to 50 built-in security programs, including 30 international standards and 20 customizable levels. The security device utilizes a chip card system, which allows for secure and efficient modification of settings such as alarm tone and volume, counter readings, and security level selection. Additionally, any security standard can be improved with selectable random alarm probability.

MI2 Sensor

The CEIA WALK THROUGH METAL DETECTOR-SMD600 Plus can be upgraded at any time with the MI2 Sensor, allowing for accurate detection of smartphones and cellphones. The device is unmatched in its ability to screen people in applications requiring simultaneous detection of all metal (magnetic and non-magnetic) firearms and cellphone/smartphone devices, including the most miniaturized, low-metal-content versions. The metal detector archway is equipped with a configuration that includes dual-color light bars (red and yellow) and 4-beam photocell modules on both panels.

TDU Thermal Detection Unit

The TDU (Thermal Detection Unit) is an upgrade sensing kit designed to comply with COVID screening regulations. It allows for simultaneous threat and fever detection on all screened individuals. The device employs an infrared camera to accurately measure a person’s temperature and automatically determine the highest temperature.”

Integrated Web-Server and Logger:
The metal detector network can be monitored in real-time using the SMD®600 Plus, thanks to its integrated web-server and logger. The metal detectors’ working parameters can be centrally configured, and transits flow can be monitored. The device provides automatic reporting on the number of people screened and alarm rates. Detailed reporting on the transits data and the security device configuration data is also available. The security level can be remotely controlled and verified with no need for specific client software, only a web browser. The network setup is straightforward, with zero-configuration required. The device is equipped with two Ethernet 100base-TX ports.

Gate Structure

The WALK THROUGH METAL DETECTOR-SMD600 Plus has a useful transit area of 720 mm x 2050 mm in the standard configuration, which can be extended to 820 mm x 2050 mm for a wider passage width. The control unit is IP66-rated, antivandalic, and antitampering. High precision transit counters (2-beam photocells) are embedded in the device, which also features an antitampering ON/OFF switch. The panels are robust, washable, and protected against aging, weather, and wear.

Alarm Signaling:
The CEIA WALK THROUGH METAL DETECTOR-SMD600 Plus has a multi-zone display bar for “height on person” localization and dual-sided 20 x 2 localization zones. Specific shoe alarm color indication, 4 light bars with selectable entry/exit and pacing indication, and green and red metering signals proportional to the mass of the detected target are available. The device has 10 selectable continuous and pulsed tones, plus 34 special tones, and 10 selectable sound intensities ranging from 0 to 90 dbA at 1m. The device also has random alarm capability with independent counters, alarm tone, and alarm volume. The separate Ferrous and Non-Ferrous alarm signaling is made possible by the Met-Identity technology.

Type of Signaling:
The SMD®600 Plus has a fixed or proportional signaling system that is based on the mass of the object in transit. The signaling is visible up to a distance of 6 meters under lighting of 4000 lux. It has 20 x 4 distinct zones (20×2 entry side and 20×2 exit side).

Programming:
The SMD®600 Plus can store up to 50 built-in security programs. The device can be programmed remotely using an Infrared Remote Control Unit, BT, or Ethernet 10/100 base T (optional) interface.The security level can be controlled using International Standard (IS) command/chip card. Local programming is available using the control unit alphanumeric display and keyboard. The device also features automatic Channel Search (CS), Automatic Floor Gain Adjustment (FGA), and Automatic Technical Functional Verification (TFV), as well as Automatic Vibration Compensation (AVS, EVA), and Automatic Environmental Noise Compensation (ENA).
